Dr. Slaughter removed my thyroid recently and did an incredible job. He is one of the few ENTs in the area who will perform a complete thyroidectomy as an outpatient procedure. As someone who contracted C Dif several years ago from a hospital stay, I appreciated being able to go directly home with a follow-up in his office the next day. Also, unlike many other ENTs, he didn’t insert a drainage tube. It’s been almost two weeks now and I have completely recovered. There were absolutely no complications. He didn’t disturb the parathyroid glands, (which can be a concern with thyroid surgeries), and the two or so inch incision scar on my neck is almost invisible already. It is clear that he takes great pride in his work as a surgeon and a forerunner in several areas of medical research. I got several opinions and medical recommendations before deciding on Dr. Slaughter, and I am convinced I got the best.

I have been suffering from sinus/allergy issues for the past few years that included frequent headaches, runny noise, clogged nostril on one side at all times and full ears. I scheduled a meeting with Dr. Slaughter and they did a CT Scan which uncovered my problems were related to a deviated septum and perforated eardrum in my right ear. I have always been sensitive to water in my ears my entire life. Dr. Slaughter thought it would be best to tackle the deviated septum first (which may be the cause of the ear problems) and then patch the ear. I had the surgery to repair my septum which included a balloon sinuplasty, septoplasty and turbinate reduction. I was in and out of surgery in a matter of a few hours. The recovery is pretty intense but the rewards of being able to breathe out of both nostrils consistently have been well worth the fews days in bed. After I was fully recovered with my nose surgery, I went in for the ear patch in which he went through my ear canal vs. outside of the ear to patch the hole in my eardrum. Once again the recovery took some time for all the packing to dissolve but I can hear more clearly out of my right ear and will feel more comfortable swimming again. Bottom line: Go see Dr. Slaughter if you suffer from anything related to your ears, nose, and throat. Great personality to go with great skills in the operating room.

I cannot recommend Dr. Slaughter highly enough. For over three years I’ve suffered from sleep apnea, forcing me to use a CPAP to sleep at night. While a CPAP helped, I still suffered from fatigue during the day. After several physicians told me they could not help, Dr. Slaughter told me with confidence he could completely cure my sleep apnea with a simple surgical procedure. Three months after my surgery (which was fast and painless), my sleep apnea is completely cured. My AHI went from 15 apneas/min to less than 1 apnea/min. I no longer need to sleep with a CPAP and this is the most energy that I’ve had in years. I will be attending medical school later this year and am sure that Dr. Slaughter is one of the most qualified sleep physicians. If you have any sleep issues, he is the best!

Fantastic doctor using cutting edge technology! Will listen and answer every question and never in a rush! Google him and be super impressed…many great articles all stating great things about the work he does. Wish all doctors were like him and I wish he could fix me head to toe! Lol! I had the ballon sinoplasty with a one hour recovery time. Amazing results. I went from snoring louder than the train nearby to quiet slumbering princess overnight. This man is brilliant.
